Firm Background

Aho Architects, LLC was founded in the spring of 2007 by Tim Aho.  We are a multidisciplinary architectural, planning and interior design firm with extensive experience in both new construction and renovation.  Most of our work tends to be for institutional clients (Colleges and Universities, K-12 School Systems, Churches, Healthcare Providers) and similar organizations with lots of stakeholders and perceived "owners".  We understand these types of clients and their needs, and have a proven ability to develop consensus and empower leaders to make good decisions.  Doing so has enabled us to serve these markets very effectively and has brought us much success.

Our staff of talented professionals will work with you to develop a design that meets your functional, aesthetic and budgetary needs.  At Aho Architects, our success is built on listening to our clients.  We create lasting designs out of communication, collaboration, and consistent attention to detail.

Tim Aho’s business plan, on which the firm was founded, was to leverage his extensive experience in designing public and institutional facilities and to focus on projects with budgets under $5 million, where our size, agility, and low overhead would give us a competitive advantage, and to build relationships first.  Then, having established its reputation, the firm would pursue larger projects too.  Clients have now entrusted us with larger, multi-project building programs, and we are proud to have so many repeat customers for a young firm.
